| The aspects
of my life which I have deemed as important are what shape all of the
decisions I make for my family and myself. What is important to me?... first and foremost, my family. They are the reason I have made it this far without falling off the wagon. The love and support my family gives has enabled me to focus on my life goals without hesitation or fear of failure. I stand on the shoulders of those who came before me, those who love me, my family. In addition to my family, my cultural heritage is very important. Being Jewish defines who I am more than anything else. I must adhere to a higher standard in all aspects of my life because I am representing not just myself, but my people. It is my honor to carry forward the tradition that has survived and overcome the harshest of dictators and tyrants. I carry forward my Judaism for the men and women who chose to fight the Romans at Masada to the bitter end, for the six million who perished in the Shoah (Holocaust) and for the soldiers and civilians of Israel who continue to fight for my people. Being Jewish is my passion, it is what drives me to never, NEVER sit back and do nothing! |
